Alex Clare, the 25 year old singer from the UK, is set to release his first single "up all night" a soul/reggae tune, produced by the Major Lazer duo (Diplo and Switch) on Island records.
The song itself has big influences of reggae, rock and dub, mainly from the production side, which is what you can expect from a dancehall master like Lazer on the production. The fast pace beat, gritty guitars adds an edge to a song that could have easily been a very conventional pop-soul song. The video for the single is kinda based around insomnia, with the the three main characters waking up in various random places having been "up all night".
